As Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll be present on the floor, guiding practice, supporting room leaders, and keeping standards high across the setting.

What You’ll Need

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Proven senior experience within a nursery setting
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Experience supporting or supervising other practitioners

What You’ll Do

• Support the Nursery Manager with day-to-day operational oversight
• Lead staff practice across rooms to maintain EYFS and safeguarding standards
• Supervise, mentor, and support room leaders and practitioners
• Monitor planning, observations, and learning records
• Manage staffing ratios and assist with rotas
• Step into the Manager role in their absence
