Events Sales Consultant - Competitive Salary + Benefits - London, UK

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and capable Events Sales Consultant to join our close-knit team. You will be the "face" of the brands, both for existing customer accounts new business relationships across delegate sales and the awards entries and table sales campaigns for FABS covering some of the industry's biggest events and building long lasting and loyal business relationships with clients.

The successful candidate will need to be tenacious, proactive, resilient, and driven, with a true desire to succeed in a sales environment. Your key goal will be to grow our business sales through world class, award winning events. You will also be expected to exemplify team standards and behaviours. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

The key responsibilities of an Events Sales Consultant include, but are not limited to:

* Maintaining regular telephone contact with your accounts and building excellent working relationships to drive year-on-year growth
* Leading weekly trade updates with your line manager and key stakeholders, maintaining 100% accuracy of event numbers and pipelines
* Upholding a robust and ambitious sales plan and ensuring maximum delivery against sales targets for entire portfolio
* Raising and maintaining brand profile and become the recognised face of your portfolio, both internally and externally
* Monitoring competitor activity closely in order to maintain external market knowledge influencing your sector
* Being an example to the team and set the standard with regards to KPI's, target performance and behaviours

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Events Sales Consultant:

* Professional, entrepreneurial, organised and strong commercial awareness
* Always punctual and well presented, able to be the face of the brand
* A high level of emotional intelligence, with a commitment to development and success
* Articulate with excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in general computer use including Microsoft Office tools is essential; being an experienced CRM user is preferred
* Events sales experience; and experience with a structured sales training method, such as DIPIDA, is preferred
