Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading Hedge Fund based in London to recruit an Application Support Engineer on a contract basis paying £450 - £550 per day.

Role

• The Application Support Engineer will provide MySQL and T-SQL Database support and maintenance.
• 3rd line technical support and maintenance of in-house and out-of-box applications.
• Improve and support integration between the various applications.
• Improve and support the business workflows within the applications.
• Monitor and support batch system jobs.
• Out of hours support to monitor batch jobs and system alerts.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned

Profile

The Application Support Engineer will have solid experience with the following:

• PHP 5 OOP
• MySQL 5
• HTML 5 & CSS
• Centos/Redhat
• Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019
• Powershell
• FIX messaging for trading applications.
• Shell scripting with bash.
• Knowledge and practical experience of application security best practices.
• Knowledge of financial data\systems and data warehousing.
