Job Title: CNC Turner / Programmer

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:45am - 11:45am

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a CNC Turner / Programmer to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist who is confident in CNC turning and programming, particularly on Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), and who is looking to develop further within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

We are happy to consider candidates with 3-axis or 4-axis experience, as full training and support can be provided to help you grow into the role.

Key Responsibilities

* Program, set, and operate CNC vertical turning lathes.

* Edit and adjust programs to ensure high-quality production and efficient machining.

* Work primarily with Fanuc controls (Siemens experience is advantageous but not essential).

* Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

* Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds.

* Carry out basic machine maintenance and daily checks.

* Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve processes and output.

* Ensure parts are produced to the highest quality standards.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer.

* Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience.

* Fanuc control knowledge.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds.

* Background within the aerospace or automotive sector (or similar high-precision environment).

Desirable:

* Siemens control experience.

* 5-axis machinery exposure.

* CAD/CAM experience (not essential).

* Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing knowledge
