The Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of the school for a Qualified English Teacher to teach Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support students of all abilities, including those with SEN.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the National Curriculum

*

Assess, track, and report on student progress

*

Support students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

*

Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

*

Participate in departmental meetings, school activities, and CPD opportunities

Requirements

*

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Secondary English specialism

*

Minimum of 6 months experience working with children in a UK school setting (mainstream or SEN)

*

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching for a range of needs

*

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

*

Right to work in the UK

Desirable

*

Experience supporting students with mild to moderate SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia)

*

Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and literacy intervention techniques
