Our Client, Wigan Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Manage the day-to-day work of the duty team, prioritizing incoming referrals, and managing capacity to ensure safety is paramount.
• Endorse risk assessments, safety plans, and child protection plans, often dealing with complex, high-stakes situations.
• Provide regular, reflective supervision to staff, including performance management, professional development, and wellbeing support.
• Ensure all statutory duties are met, policies are followed, and records are accurate.
• Liaise with police, health services, and education partners, often chairing high-level meetings.
• Conduct audits, manage performance data, and implement improvements in practice.
• Manage team resources, including budgets and staffing, ensuring effective service delivery.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
• Must have minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying Experience
