Responsibilities of this role:
- Manage the day-to-day work of the duty team, prioritizing incoming referrals, and managing capacity to ensure safety is paramount.
- Endorse risk assessments, safety plans, and child protection plans, often dealing with complex, high-stakes situations.
- Provide regular, reflective supervision to staff, including performance management, professional development, and wellbeing support.
- Ensure all statutory duties are met, policies are followed, and records are accurate.
- Liaise with police, health services, and education partners, often chairing high-level meetings.
- Conduct audits, manage performance data, and implement improvements in practice.
- Manage team resources, including budgets and staffing, ensuring effective service delivery.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
- Must have minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying Experience
