Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism & SLD Focus
Location: Bradford (BD9)
Salary: £88-£115 per day (PAYE - no umbrella companies)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

Be the calm in someone's day.
We're looking for a caring, patient, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in BD9. You'll be working closely with pupils aged 3-19 who have autism and severe learning difficulties, helping them feel safe, supported, and understood.

This role is all about connection—not correction. It's about celebrating small steps, adapting on the go, and building a relationship that goes beyond the classroom.

What you'll be doing:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs

Assisting with personal care, sensory support, and structured routines

Using communication tools (e.g. PECS, Makaton) to aid understanding

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support teams

✨ What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or adults with SEND, especially autism or SLD

A calm, consistent approach—even when things get tough

Empathy, patience, and a good sense of humour

Understanding of sensory needs and communication strategies (or a willingness to learn!)

What you get from us:

Weekly pay through PAYE—no hidden deductions

Specialist SEN consultant support (based locally in Bradford)

FREE Thrive and autism-specific CPD training

Long-term roles where your work really matters

Access to brilliant SEND schools across the city

If you're steady, compassionate, and ready to make a difference—BD9 is calling.
