Teacher of English – The Role

A highly regarded secondary school in Dartford are looking to appoint a Teacher of English to join their team from December 2025. This is a maternity cover position suitable for both early career and experienced teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching KS5 depending on experience.

Rate: £200 - £250 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a well-led and inclusive 11–18 secondary school & sixth form in Dartford, Kent, with excellent transport connections and a strong focus on academic achievement. The English department is collaborative, well-resourced, and plays a key role in whole-school success. This school was also rated good on there most recent OFSTED visit.
