What you'll be doing

You'll play a key role in ensuring our Aberdeen energy recovery plant remains fully operational and reliable:

* Plan and deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities across the plant to maximise availability and performance.

* Lead, develop, and support junior members of the maintenance team, providing specialist technical guidance and expertise.

* Champion high standards of health & safety, environmental compliance, and best practice in all maintenance work.

* Identify and implement improvements to enhance plant reliability, cost-effectiveness, and overall efficiency.

* Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and contributes to safe, sustainable energy generation.

What we're looking

for We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and value hands-on experience and leadership potential:

* Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience).

* Proven hands-on maintenance experience in heavy industry, process engineering, energy from waste, or similar industrial environments.

* Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, explain technical issues clearly, and drive improvements in plant performance.

* Good working knowledge of environmental legislation relevant to industrial operations.

* IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to undertake training — support will be provided).
