Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Maths Cover Teacher to join the school’s dynamic Mathematics department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

This is an ideal role for:

• Experienced cover supervisors or instructors with strong Maths subject knowledge

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Maths lessons to classes across KS3–KS4
• Manage the classroom effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
• Support students with their understanding of mathematical concepts
• Follow school policies, procedures and behaviour systems
• Provide feedback on student progress and work completed
• Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement

• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Confident classroom presence and behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
• Reliable, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards
• QTS/QTLS is desirable but not essential
