Locum Social Worker - up to £38 UMB

North West Quadrant

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting assessments of individuals' needs for social care and support, considering physical, emotional, and environmental factors.
2. Developing and implementing care plans tailored to everyone's circumstances, promoting independence and well-being.
3. Providing advice, guidance, and practical support to individuals and their families/carers regarding available services and resources.
4. Liaising with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate and deliver integrated care services.
5. Safeguarding vulnerable adults by identifying and responding to instances of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, following established protocols and procedures.
6. Advocating for clients' rights and interests within the social care system, ensuring they receive appropriate support and access to necessary resources.
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and policies.
8. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional development and service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognised by Social Work England.
2. Registration with the SWE as a qualified Social Worker.
3. Applied knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
4. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing adult social care in the UK.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse and demanding environment.
7. Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to promoting social justice and equality.
8. Proficiency in IT systems used for case management and record-keeping.
