Location: Brentwood, Essex

Role Description

I’m working with a well-regarded and growing accountancy practice in Brentwood that is looking to appoint an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to support the continued expansion of their team.

This role offers excellent exposure across both accounts and audit work, with roughly 30–50% of the role involving audit assignments. You will work with a varied client base including some large London based businesses, gaining experience on audits for companies with turnovers exceeding £50m while developing your technical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll do

• Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a range of clients
• Assist on audit assignments with the opportunity to begin leading audits within the first year
• Work with clients across a range of sectors including larger businesses with group structures
• Gain exposure to group consolidated accounts and audits
• Liaise directly with clients regarding financial information and queries
• Attend client meetings alongside Partners and Senior Managers
• Support and help train junior members of the team

What you’ll need

• Experience working within a UK accountancy practice
• Exposure to accounts preparation and an interest in developing audit experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients directly
