We are working with a fast-growing full-service accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper for the office in Brighton. The business provides accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services to thousands of customers including businesses and individuals / sole traders. They offer and employee-friendly environment which is noted for culture and support.

As a Senior bookkeeper you'll work with a range of clients and use a variety of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Freeagent and Clearbooks to conduct various day to day bookkeeping tasks.

As a Senior Bookkeeper, your key responsibilities will include:

* Direct communication with clients for a range of bookkeeping duties

* Filing and preparing VAT returns, personal tax returns, partnership returns and companies' tax returns

* Assisting with digital migration or training on cloud accounting software

* Maintaining proper accounting standards, ensuring to record all communication

* Reconciling sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts, and balance sheet control accounts

* Using a variety of software including Xero, Quickbooks, FlickThru, IRIS and Outlook

Requirements:

* Strong bookkeeping experience from within an accountancy practice environment

* AAT qualified or part-qualified

* Experience with Cloud software such as IRIS and XERO

Salary, hours and company benefits:

* £35,000

* 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, fully office based in Brighton, hybrid considered
