Nursery Practitioner

We are working with a dedicated nursery in the heart of London close to Piccadilly Circus and with great public transport links, which is looking for a Level 2 qualified Nursery Practitioner to become part of the team.

This is cosy nursery with individual rooms for each age range. With a range of activities from woodwork to a secret garden, there is something for all the children to get stuck into so that their imaginations can run wild! You will be directly involved in providing care and support to children, including feeding, and engaging in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. All activities are designed to support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of the children.

You will support your room team in helping the children develop and learn, with the best education to succeed in life. You will have the freedom to get creative with how the children learn best!

Responsibilities:

• The Nursery Practitioner will collaborate with staff, parents, and carers to ensure all children receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and development stage
• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery, creating an environment that's nurturing and inspiring for the children
• Work as part of a supportive team to deliver the Early Years Curriculum, fostering a love for learning in young students
• Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment where children are intellectually and emotionally stimulated

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Hold a full and recognised Level 2 childcare qualification
• Have previous experience of working in a childcare setting
• Ability to safeguard and protect children
• To be a team player - positive, adaptable and friendly
