We are looking for a passionate Secondary SEN Teacher to join our specialist SEN school, supporting pupils aged 11-16 (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.

You will help create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for secondary pupils with SEN.

• Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs and abilities.

• Assess and monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and learning plans.

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.

• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to support student learning.

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including activities, events, and meetings.

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to deliver differentiated teaching for a range of learning needs

Desirable

• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Understanding of EHCPs, SEN strategies, and inclusive teaching approaches

• A supportive and collaborative school environment
