Join the team at Beck House in Darlington as an experienced Registered Manager, where you will lead and develop the services to deliver specialist care.

You will be working 37.5 hours a week at Beck House, a 6-bedded service, residential service for adults under 65 years with a learning disability, autism and sensory and communication differences.

In this role, you will have overall leadership and management of the service, developing close working relationships with the community multi-disciplinary teams, and other external stakeholders and be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.

You will have previous experience from the NHS or private care as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with an excellent record of leadership and management responsibilities.

Our Registered Manager role involves:

  • Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met, and facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and clients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice
  • As a member of the management team, you will contribute to the strategic development of the care home, ensuring adherence to Elysium’s objectives and business plan
  • Promoting and enhancing Elysium Healthcare reputation for high-quality outcomes for service users

To be successful as Registered Manager, you will need:

  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector,
  • An understanding of mental Health & Learning disabilities and a passion for improving clinical quality and service user care
  • Strong commercial acumen, to support successful service delivery and development, people management, budget control, business development, and revenue generation
  • An inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership
  • Have a valid NMC pin
  • At least 5 years or previous experience as an RNLD or RMN
  • Experience as a Registered Manager

Beck House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area. The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation. 

The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.
