Accounts Assistant—Hybrid. Coventry, Temp to perm

Reed Accountancy Coventry are delighted to be supporting a well-established business in Coventry with permanent opportunity. I am seeking an organised, friendly and reliable Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and enjoys working as a part of a team.

Main responsibilities

• Purchase Ledger
• VAT payments
• Bank Reconciliation
• Managing standing orders, direct debits and allocating payments
• Handling supplier queries
• Supporting the month-end timetable and ensuring ledgers are closed on time
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations
• Filing and general admin
• Handling incoming calls to the finance department.

This position would suit candidates who have good availability.

It would be an advantage (but not essential) if you’re studying towards an accounting qualification
