The firm provides a broad range of legal services to both individuals and businesses and has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, client-focused advice. With continued growth and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards, the firm is now looking to strengthen its regulatory and compliance capability.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with at least 1 year PQE who has an interest in regulatory compliance and risk management within a legal practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the firm continues to meet its regulatory obligations and maintains best practice across all areas of compliance.Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for overseeing compliance procedures, managing regulatory matters, and ensuring the firm adheres to all relevant professional and legal standards.Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a central point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters
  • Managing and responding to regulatory issues and correspondence with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
  • Overseeing and advising on compliance policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks
  • Handling and investigating client complaints and ensuring they are resolved in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring compliance with SRA rules and other relevant legal and regulatory obligations
  • Supporting the development and delivery of compliance training across the firm
  • Assisting with audits, file reviews, and internal compliance monitoring

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with 1+ year PQE
  • Strong understanding of SRA regulations and legal practice compliance (or a strong interest in developing in this area)
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
