Are you a warm, enthusiastic individual who enjoys supporting young children in their early learning journey? We're partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Oldbury seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
In this role, you'll be working across Year 1 and Year 2, helping to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where pupils can feel confident and make steady progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher with daily routines and activities across KS1.
- Lead small group sessions focused on phonics, early reading, and basic maths.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
- Contribute to a calm and engaging classroom setting.
- Assist with displays, preparation of resources, and general classroom organisation.
You Will Need:
- Experience working with children in Key Stage 1.
- Familiarity with early learning approaches, especially phonics.
- A caring, patient, and encouraging manner.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
