A leading UK design‑and‑build contractor serving multiple water sector clients is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to help deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality engineering solutions across major treatment and infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure fully coordinated, compliant and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Create cost‑effective civil design layouts that meet specifications and are practical to construct and commission.
Apply established design standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Provide technical input, estimates, and support to proposal teams.
Follow and contribute to improving departmental processes and procedures.
Coordinate designs with internal and external engineering disciplines.
Support a customer‑focused approach across project delivery.
Integrate environmental considerations into all design work.
Ensure designs fully comply with health and safety requirements.

About You

Understanding of water and wastewater treatment principles.
HND in a relevant engineering discipline (degree preferred).
Ability to rationalise designs and create efficient plant layouts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with varied technical data.
Confident communicator able to present technical proposals clearly.
Strong computer literacy.
