The Opportunity:

A vibrant and innovative primary school in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Year 5 Teacher to join their dedicated team in September 2025. The successful candidate will help guide Year 5 pupils as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire and challenge learners. Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils, following the National Curriculum and incorporating a variety of teaching styles and resources to meet diverse learning needs.

Use formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to both students and parents.

*

Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, engagement, and well-being.

*

Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to curriculum delivery and student support.

*

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and development.

*

Actively contribute to school life by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and experience in delivering engaging and creative lessons.

*

Proven ability to assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and focused learning environment.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

*

A passion for teaching and a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
