Time 4 Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for Permanent skilled Hand Press/Power Press Setter Operator to join a well-established, manufacturing / production company based in Llandovery - Carmarthenshire.

Our client, whose head office is in the Netherlands, is able to manufacture and supply specialist industrial equipment, both standard range and a customised solution specific to each client's individual needs.

As permanent Skilled Hand Press / Power press Setter Operator and maintaining press machines to produce high-quality components. Our clients power presses vary up to 100 ton.
• Machine Setup & Operation - Set up, adjust, and operate various power press machines, ensuring they run to precise specifications.
• Tooling - Install and remove press tooling, ensuring it functions correctly for each job.
• Quality Control: Conduct first-off approval of manufactured parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintenance - Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the press machines.
• Documentation: Fill out run sheets, guard sheets, and other production documentation as required.
• Material Handling -Load and unload raw materials from coil-fed automatic progression presses.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including those outlined in Power Press Regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Skills - Proficiency in setting up and operating power presses and press brake machines.
• Tooling Knowledge: Experience with press tooling and the ability to perform tool changes.
• Mechanical Aptitude Good understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand and power tools.
• Reading Technical Drawings: Ability to read technical drawings to produce parts to exact specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality control procedures and ability to perform first-off inspections.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during production.
• Communication: Good listening and communication skills to work effectively within a production team.
• Certifications: A valid Power Press Operator Certificate or similar certification may be required.
• FLT: Counterbalance licence

Benefits
Salary £12.21 per hour plus occasional overtime at time and a half (x 1.5)
Working Hours are Monday - Thursday - 08.00 am - 4.30 pm and Friday - 08.00 am - 3.30 pm
