Facilities & Maintenance Engineer

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing engineering team within a state-of-the-art facility producing advanced therapies for late-phase clinical trials and commercial supply. You'll be central to ensuring the smooth operation of utility systems, cleanroom environments, and critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and reactive maintenance activities across utilities and GMP equipment

* Support facility and equipment installation and commissioning for capital projects

* Coordinate external service providers for calibration, PPM, and other contract services

* Oversee EHS permitting and ensure all engineering work meets internal safety standards and regulatory expectations

* Drive improvements in equipment performance, availability, and operational reliability

* Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, and data integrity standards across all work and documentation

* Contribute to cost-efficiency through equipment optimisation and maintenance planning

* Assist with managing engineering budgets and critical spare part inventories

What You'll Need

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a highly regulated engineering or maintenance role

* At least 3 years working within a GMP cleanroom environment, preferably in biopharma or advanced therapies

* Strong technical understanding of building services and utilities, including HVAC, compressed air, oxygen, and clean steam systems

* Hands-on experience with PPM systems, contractor management, and troubleshooting utility equipment

* Background in developing maintenance procedures and documentation to GMP standards

* Knowledge of calibration planning and techniques is highly desirable

* Engineering degree or trades qualification in mechanical, electrical, or building services discipline
