The Role

As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a heavy industrial / chemical processing environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Performance Objectives

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and process equipment
Support mechanical maintenance where required
Work on motors, drives, inverters, control panels and instrumentation
Fault finding on PLC systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley desirable)
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant Person Specification

Time-served Electrical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience within heavy industry, chemical, process, manufacturing or similar environment
Strong fault-finding ability on industrial electrical systems
PLC fault-finding experience (modifications advantageous)
17th / 18th Edition desirable
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environmentApply
