The Purchasing Assistant will work with and support the Purchasing Department, coding items to be purchased and issuing purchase orders. He/she will assist the purchasing department with data entry and clerical duties. This position will also assist Project Managers by expediting orders and preparing O&M Manuals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities to include:
Code items and issue purchase orders.
Expediting and confirming purchase orders with factories via phone and e-mail.
Preparation of O&M Manuals (operation and maintenance binders).
Other clerical duties as assigned.
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with computers, MS Office experience strongly preferred.
Data Entry experience required.
Ability to stay on task and pay attention to details.
Proven problem solving skills a must.
Must be organized
Accustomed to high pace, high volume environment
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
