We are seeking a capable and committed Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join the Acute Medical Ward team in the major health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The Inpatient Medical service comprises of three wards; two medical wards treating a full range of acute and general inpatients and a rehabilitation ward which provides both neuro and general rehabilitation, all use a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfCbanding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 6 salary is up to £56,090 plus an annual bonus of £1,517 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave

Person requirements:
Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
At least three years' Acute Medicine experience, with at least one year UK-based.
Experienced in taking charge of in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
Completion of a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
