We are a dedicated SEMH school in Stoke-on-Trent seeking a dynamic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with complex emotional and behavioural needs, helping them re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs

*

Build trusting, therapeutic relationships with students to support their emotional and academic development

*

Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under teacher guidance

*

Promote positive behaviour and implement individual behaviour management plans

*

Support with personal care, physical interventions, and sensory needs where necessary

*

Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment

We Are Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, trauma, or similar needs (essential)

*

A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach

*

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

*

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

*

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
