An expanding, employee-owned engineering and environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to strengthen its Leeds-based team. This role offers the chance to play a key part in delivering complex land quality and ground investigation projects across the UK while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the continued growth of the geoenvironmental division.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer will be leading the planning and execution of ground investigation and land quality assessments

Managing site works, including supervising drilling contractors and overseeing health and safety compliance

Preparing and reviewing Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Ground Investigation reports

Producing interpretative reports, risk assessments and remediation strategies

Designing and implementing groundwater and ground gas monitoring programmes

Liaising with clients, regulators and project stakeholders throughout project delivery

Assisting with project management, cost control and programme coordination

Candidate Requirements

Applicants for this Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer position should demonstrate:

A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Relevant industry experience within contaminated land or ground investigation consultancy

Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required

Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction

Ideally based in or able to commute to the Leeds area
