Production Operative - Fettling 

Rochester (must have own transport due to limited public transport routes)

£25,700 per year + regular overtime

40 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am – 1.30pm

We’re supporting a well-established company in the Rochester area that’s looking to grow their team with a dependable and hardworking Factory Operative.

This is a varied, physical role based in a busy production environment, where you'll be primarily shot blasting and supporting the wider team with general manufacturing and fettling tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Shot blasting different products and materials
• Operating a band saw to process materials
• Following technical instructions to complete tasks accurately
• Carrying out manual handling and moving materials around the factory
• Assisting with additional tasks when required
• Recording your work using touch-screen systems and job cards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous factory or production experience is helpful, but not essential
• Previous experience shot blasting – not completely essential.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions closely
