My client, a highly-respected, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller to join their growing team of specialist consultants, in the vibrant, multi-cultural city of Bristol.

Essential Criteria:

A Degree in Geography, Environmental Management, or a similar field
Keen understanding of flood risk and mitigation, with a passion for making a difference within the industry
Ability to write high-quality reports (demonstrated through previous academic or commercial experience)
Knowledge of the relevant hydraulic modelling software packages (TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, etc.)
Excellent teamwork skills, demonstrated through undertaking previous collaborative projects (through academics or commercial experience)
An awareness of the relevant flood risk policies and agreements within the UK flood risk sector

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Hydraulic Modeller to possess the following skills:

Some relevant experience in Flood Risk Assessments and/or hydraulic modelling
Good analytical mindset and technical skills
Excellent standard of written English, particularly when applied to report writing

In your exciting new role of Graduate Hydraulic Modeller, you will join a growing team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing your skills as you progress through your career with the company. The role will involve several interesting responsibilities, including:

Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Hydraulic Modelling, using the relevant software packages (such as TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, etc.)
Conducting Nutrient Neutrality Assessments
Working on natural flood management and wetland restoration, taking part in rewetting and rewilding schemes
Collaboratively working with a range of clients across the public and private sectors
Authoring, reviewing, and refining technical reports
