Salary: £30000 - £40000/annum pro rata

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Compliance Coordinator to ensure the business maintains impeccable compliance with all relevant regulatory, operational, environmental, and quality standards. This role covers items such as health and safety, fire safety, machinery maintenance, staff inductions, subcontractor compliance, audit preparation, and the ongoing management of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.

This is an office-based role, working on a part-time basis. Hours can be discussed.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities of Compliance Coordinator

* Maintain and update Health & Safety policies and procedures.

* Carry out regular site inspections and risk assessments.

* Keep staff training records and certifications up to date.

* Manage accident and incident reporting processes.

* Ensure safe systems of work are documented and followed.

* Ensure fire risk assessments are completed and reviewed.

* Coordinate fire drills and fire marshal activities.

* Ensure regular checks of fire alarms and extinguishers.

* Maintain an asset register and planned maintenance schedule for machinery.

* Ensure statutory inspections are completed on time (e.g. LOLER, PUWER).

* Liaise with engineers and contractors for servicing and repairs.

* Keep accurate maintenance logs and equipment records.

* Deliver or coordinate compliance-related inductions for all new starters.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.

* Identify training gaps and arrange refresher courses where required.

* Ensure subcontractors provide necessary compliance documentation (RAMS, insurance, certifications).

* Maintain and update the approved contractor register.

* Track expiration dates and request renewed documentation as needed.

* Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

* Support internal auditing across health, safety, environmental, and quality areas.

* Track non-conformances and support corrective actions.

* Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management System.

* Support process owners in following procedures and maintaining records.

* Conduct internal audits relating to ISO standards.

Specific skills and experience required of Compliance Coordinator

* Experience in a compliance, quality, or H&S coordination role.

* Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001.

* Strong organisational and administrative skills.

* Good communication skills at all levels.

* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).

* Strong record‑keeping and attention to detail.
