Dalgety Bay Care Home is a purpose built care home located in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay in Fife. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 68 residents, the home offers a warm, welcoming and supportive environment where team members can make a meaningful difference every day.
Senior Care Assistant - Dayshift and Nightshift
- £14.50 per hour
- Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
- Dayshift and nightshift available
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, this role plays a key part in delivering high quality, person centred care while supporting the smooth running of each shift. Working across both day and night shifts, you will lead by example, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and consistent care at all times.
The role involves supporting residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines, always promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will oversee medication administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contribute to maintaining clear and up to date care plans and records.
You will provide guidance and support to Care Assistants throughout the shift, helping to maintain high standards of care and a positive team environment. Strong communication is essential, working closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, respectful and supportive atmosphere.
What We Are Looking For
- SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, with Level 3 preferred
- Medication administration training and competency
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory care role
- A compassionate, professional and person centred approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
