We are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to lead our Key Stage 1 team from September 2025.

Role Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented KS1 teacher ready to step into a leadership role. As KS1 Phase Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the teaching and learning in Years 1 and 2, ensuring consistent, high-quality provision across the phase. Alongside your classroom responsibilities, you will support colleagues, drive standards, and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach a KS1 class with excellence, delivering an engaging and inclusive curriculum

*

Provide clear and supportive leadership to staff within the KS1 phase

*

Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning to support continuous improvement

*

Use assessment data to identify trends, plan interventions, and track pupil progress

*

Support the development of curriculum planning and delivery across KS1

*

Lead phase meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to staff training

*

Work closely with the senior leadership team to shape and implement school priorities

*

Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders

We Are Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Extensive experience teaching in Key Stage 1

*

A secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum, early phonics, and formative assessment

*

A strong, supportive leader who can inspire and develop others

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*

A commitment to inclusion, high standards, and continuous professional development

*

Previous leadership or subject leadership experience is desirable

*

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
