Veritas Education Recruitment are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant primary school in Woolwich. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience as a Cover Supervisor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to gain valuable experience within a dynamic and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and follow the lesson plan.
Support students in their learning and personal development, ensuring their well-being is maintained.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide support to teachers by preparing classroom resources and assisting with administrative tasks where required.
Assist with the delivery of planned lessons and activities, helping students engage and understand tasks.
Maintain effective communication with teaching staff and school leadership, providing feedback as necessary.Requirements:

Experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), or in a similar role.
A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to keep students focused and motivated.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach and ability to adapt to different classroom settings and subject areas.
