Job Title: Interim Finance ControllerLocation: Lancaster | Contract: 6-12 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Finance Controller to join a growing and dynamic organisation. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who can step in quickly, take ownership of financial operations, and deliver strategic insight during a key period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day finance function and ensuring smooth operations

• Producing timely and accurate management accounts, reports, and dashboards

• Managing month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and accruals

• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and financial controls

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning

• Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior leadership

• Providing guidance and support to junior finance team members

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a senior finance position, preferably as a Finance Controller or Senior Accountant

• Strong technical accounting expertise and experience with management reporting

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Confident presenting complex financial information to senior stakeholders

• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems

• Highly organised, proactive, and able to drive key financial initiatives
