Reed Education is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a Ministry of Defence (MOD) school in Cyprus. This role offers the chance to teach British pupils abroad, delivering the UK curriculum in a unique and rewarding setting.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for teaching English across Key Stages, following the UK curriculum and preparing pupils for standard UK examinations. The timetable consists of 45–50 teaching hours per fortnight, with classes of up to 20 students.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – no exceptions
- Experience teaching English within the UK curriculum
- Willingness to undergo an MOD Security Check (facilitated by us; approx. 1 month)
- Disclosure of any medical requirements, as some may not be supported by army medical centres
Accommodation & Lifestyle:
Teachers will be accommodated in the Army Mess on base, offering a secure and sociable living arrangement. Alternative options such as hotels or AirBnB may be considered. Daily lunch is provided, and flights to and from Cyprus are fully covered.
