Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a high-performing Church of England secondary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated English Teacher for a long-term supply role starting after February half-term. The school has asked that its name remains confidential at this stage.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English Teacher, ECT, or experienced supply teacher to join a supportive English department and make a real impact on pupil progress across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
Assess, mark, and track student progress
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Contribute to departmental planning where appropriateThe Ideal Candidate

We are looking for:

A qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom management skills
Passion for teaching and raising attainment
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
