Job Title: Temporary School Cook

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 1:30pm
Pay: £13.00 per hour

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Temporary School Cook to cover a short-term assignment within a school setting. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook healthy meals for pupils and staff

* Ensure food is prepared and served in line with food safety regulations

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen

* Manage food preparation and service within set times

* Follow school policies regarding allergens and dietary requirements

Essential Requirements

* Relevant catering qualifications (e.g. Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene or equivalent)

* Valid Enhanced DBS (essential)

* Previous experience as a cook, ideally in a school or similar environment

* Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and health & safety

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
