About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is excited to partner with a well-regarded provider to recruit a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker for a children's home in Oswestry. This role offers the chance to take the next step in your career, leading a team to support young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to young people, supporting their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.

  • Lead and mentor a team of support workers, promoting best practices and a positive care environment.

  • Build trusting relationships with children to help them understand their past, live in the present, and embrace a brighter future.

  • Support young people during daily activities, excursions, and residential settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.

  • Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures in line with Ofsted standards.

  • Act as a role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and teamwork in challenging situations.

About You

  • Essential:

    • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

    • Proven experience supporting children and young people, ideally in a residential or EBD setting.

    • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to challenging situations.

    • Willingness to work sleep-ins and flexible shifts.

    • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).

    • Motivated, resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people.

  • Desirable:

    • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role.

    • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and therapeutic care approaches.
