Dual Registered Children's Home Manager

Crumpsall & Swinton (2-bed homes) | Full-Time | £70,000 - £80,000
Level 5 Diploma | Minimum 7 years' experience required

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dual Registered Manager to lead two small children's homes in Crumpsall and Swinton. You will hold legal responsibility for both homes, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and the effective leadership of staff teams. This role also involves embedding a therapeutic approach to support positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the daily operations of two Ofsted-registered children's homes.

* Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

* Promote and maintain a safe, nurturing, and homely environment.

* Lead safeguarding practices and ensure robust staff training and supervision.

* Implement and oversee therapeutic models of care, including PACE.

* Manage rotas, staffing levels, performance, and professional development.

* Oversee budgets, resources, and financial accountability, including petty cash systems.

* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external professionals (e.g. social workers, education staff).

* Support quality assurance processes including Regulation 44 and 45 reports.

* Drive a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children and Young People's Services) or equivalent.

* At least 7 years' experience in residential childcare, including leadership roles.

* Sound understanding of children's safeguarding, legislation, and therapeutic care.

* Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.

* A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to high standards of care and leadership
