38.5 hours per week

OT paid at 1.5 of day rate Mon - Sat, 2.0 of day rate for Sunday.

Our client, a large sheet metal fabricator based in Durham, are looking for a confident TIG Welder who is able to read engineering drawings without assistance. The work ranges from day to day using many different material types and thicknesses ranging from 0.9m - 5mm mild steel, 1mm - 10mm aluminium & 1mm - 3mm stainless steel. Please note that this role will predominately involve working with stainless steel.

The candidate should have at least 12 months welding experience in sheet metal or similar type environment. Must be comfortable reading and interpreting weld symbols. Must be able to work free hand as well as using jigs and fixtures.

You will be starting on dayshift for induction and training before moving onto a 2-shift rotation. Our client reserves the right to move you to 3 shifts with consultation
