Milk Education are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in North Tyneside who are seeking to appoint an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis after the Easter break. This role will be based in Key Stage 1 and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a primary school setting.
This position would suit a recent graduate who is considering a career in education, or someone with previous experience working with children who is looking to move into a school environment. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing learning environment and is keen to support staff development.
This Unqualified Teaching Assistant role will involve:
Supporting the class teacher within a KS1 classroom
Working with small groups of pupils and occasionally on a 1:1 basis
Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks
Helping prepare classroom resources and materials
Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour
To be considered for this role you should have either:
Relevant experience may include:
Youth clubs or youth work
Sports coaching
Dance teaching or activity instructors
Tutoring or mentoring
Voluntary work with children
Holiday clubs, camps or after-school activities
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and passionate about supporting children in their learning and development. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and could lead to further opportunities within schools.
