Location: St. Paul, MN Position Summary: The Enterprise Cybersecurity Solutions (ECS) group has an exciting new opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Architect. This individual will play a key role in designing and developing complex cybersecurity solutions that will enhance Securian's security posture. In the role, you will be part of an architecture team championing of the cybersecurity architectural vision, strategy, and principles to Securian employees, partners, customers and leadership. As a Cybersecurity Architect you will partner with the enterprise architecture team, work alongside cybersecurity engineering and technology teams, and participate in architectural design reviews for line-of-business systems. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Architect and guide the implementation and integration of various enterprise-wide cybersecurity systems. Provide architectural guidance from high-level to detailed design. Serve as a technical expert in design, development, and integration of security solutions across the enterprise. Assist in drafting and reviewing company-wide security strategy and action plans. Participate in assessing costs and risks associated with enterprise initiatives involving security capabilities and controls. Contribute architectural insights while performing periodic reviews of security policies and procedures. Demonstrate a high level of technical competency in all phases of systems and applications security. Provide guidance and leadership to assist in addressing problems associated with systems security, integration, and compatibility, and across multiple platforms. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working as an architect in an information technology or information security department. Experience designing security solutions in regulated environments. Demonstrable expertise with cloud-based solutions deployed in a highly available and scalable production environment. Strong technical experience with the implementation of cybersecurity technologies in enterprise environments. These may include such diverse disciplines as IDS / IPS, EDR, DLP, IAM, RBAC, PKI-CKM, SOAR, VM, Entitlement Management, container security, CASB and many others. Skilled at engaging cross-functional engineers, developers and administrators. Demonstrable knowledgeable in security trends, products and tooling; and an ardent interest in new and emerging technologies. Proven ability at making operational decisions, monitoring progress and reporting results. Preferred skills for this job: Familiarity with compliance mandates and security standards including those promoted by NIST, PCI DSS, ISO, HIPAA, NY-DFR. Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure Services Architecture or Security. Excellent technical aptitude, resourcefulness and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Industry recognized certification in security (e.g., CISSP, CCSK, CISA, CISM, CEH, etc.).
