Your new SchoolHere at Hays, I work with a number of schools across the St Helens area who are already advising me of their supply needs for September. There will be a wide range of needs within schools, ranging from one-off days to cover absence / training / time out of the classroom for existing teachers, to long-term part-time and full-time supply covering on a longer-term basis.Whether you are an experienced teacher looking to work flexibly or a new ECT looking to build your classroom experience, Hays can help! As we work in partnership with a wide range of schools in the area, we know the individual schools and understand how they operate and what they need from supply teachers, allowing us to find the right opportunities for you.Your new roleYou could be covering any classes from pre-school through to Year 6. You will find you will have planning in place when you arrive, and you will generally always have a teaching assistant in the class with you.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be considered for this role, you will need to:

• Hold qualified teacher status
• Have recent and relevant experience working within a primary school
• Be an approachable and patient primary teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues
