Reed are working with a nationwide care provider to recruit a Registered Manager to lead their CQC ‘Good’ rated service in Bristol.

This role is pivotal in providing a high-quality living and learning environment for young adults with severe and complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

As a Registered Manager, you will ensure the service operates effectively, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

  • Location: 8-bed residential, Bristol
  • Salary: £45,000.00 - £47,000
  • Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Provide effective leadership and management of the service, fostering a culture of high support and high challenge.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of clients are prioritised, creating a stable, happy, and caring environment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring quality of care and effective resource deployment.
  • Take responsibility for the care plans of each resident and the delivery of behaviour management programmes.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team, ensuring consistent responses to all clients and embedding reflective and learning practices.
  • Act as a role model for quality care and articulate what good care practice entails.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Attained or working towards QCF Level 5 Diploma.
  • DSL training and Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
  • QCF assessor qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Considerable management experience in a residential care setting within a CQC home.
  • Excellent skills in staff supervision and management.
  • Proven experience in leading a team and developing good practice in a care/learning support context.
  • Effective working with clients with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
