The Supply Register is working in partnership with Yew Tree Primary Academy, part of the Wade Deacon Trust, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SENTA). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a friendly and inclusive primary school environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Assist pupils with learning tasks, behaviour, and emotional development

• Support the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

• Monitor and report on pupil progress and development

• Work closely with class teachers, SENCo, and wider school staff to create a supportive learning environment

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs

• Strong interpersonal skills and patience

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

• Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to supporting learning

Essential

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

• Experience supporting children in a classroom or learning environment

• Willingness to complete safeguarding and school-based training

Desirable

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Experience with interventions or SEN programmes

• First Aid qualification
