Hours: 2 to 3 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

A mainstream primary school in Bath with a dedicated SEN resource base is seeking a part-time teaching assistant - SEN for 2 to 3 days per week. The resource base supports children with autism and other complex needs.

As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant - SEN , you will work closely with children in the resource base and mainstream classes, supporting them alongside teachers, therapists, and SEN staff.

Part-Time Teaching Assistant - SEN Key responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children with SEN
Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
Implement interventions for communication, social interaction, and sensory needs
Assist with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and personal careIdeal candidate for Part-Time Teaching Assistant - SEN :

Previous experience as a teaching assistant - SEN
Passionate about supporting children with autism and SEN
Resilient, patient, and proactive in managing challenging behaviours
Must have an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to obtain oneWhy apply:
