This is an exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge electrical design projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design process from concept to detailed design and project delivery.
Produce and review technical documentation, including electrical schematics, SLDs, BCDs, cable schedules, P&IDs, I/O schedules, layouts, and calculations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, and project engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BS7671, IEC) and client specifications.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design, preferably in building services or manufacturing sectors.
Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar.
Strong expertise in designing LV power and distribution systems.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:00pm; Friday, 7:30am-1:00pm.
Closed for Bank Holidays and an annual Christmas shutdown until after the New Year.
