Reed Accountancy are currently working with a great company near Keighley who are looking for a Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger to start as soon as possible. This is part-time (25 hours) position and can be flexible on working days. They offer hybrid working 1 day a week after the initial training period. This company have a small staff turnover and it is a great opportunity to join their team.

A few Responsibilities

  • Process all supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Process supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Complete supplier credit check forms
  • Process all transactions within bank, sales ledger and purchase ledger
  • Petty cash and reconciliation
  • Monthly cost analysis
  • Allocate supplier payments
  • Attend to supplier queries, requests for payment allocations etc
  • Work with sales ledger to ensure all bank statement items are captured
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Agree inter-company invoices and follow up discrepancies
  • Process all expenses
  • Adjust weekly/monthly currency rates

You will need to demonstrate

  • Loyalty in previous roles
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Accuracy in all areas, especially numeracy
  • Time management
  • Inter-departmental cross selling
