Logistics Coordinator

Location: Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, Tamworth
Pay: £13-£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 16:00

The Best Connection Tamworth are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join our client, a specialist in stainless steel pipes and tubes. This role focuses on coordinating international and domestic shipments while ensuring compliance with customs and trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses
• Prepare and manage export/import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations
• Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations, tariffs, and country-specific requirements
• Liaise with internal teams (sales, procurement, warehouse) to align shipment schedules and delivery requirements
• Track shipments and proactively resolve logistics or customs issues to prevent delays
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and logistics costs
• Support continuous improvement of logistics and documentation processes

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or international shipping
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation and customs procedures
• Ability to independently prepare and manage customs documentation
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills when liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams
• Experience with metals, industrial materials, or international trade logistics is advantageous
